Round 6 of the Western Australian State MX Championships heads to the home of the MX Nationals in WA at AJS Park Wanneroo.

A lot has changed in twelve months since the WAMX carnival was at Wanneroo. New riders coming to the fore, regular contenders out with injury, yet the battle lines have been drawn- firmly, in the sand. Over 150 motos for the season, with 425 championship winning points up for grabs, it comes down to one final round where champions will be decided after an extremely tough and hard fought series.

This final round will also culminate in the running of the inaugural PerthMX.com 2 Stroke Cup, certain to add a dynamic scene for the championships titles as they wrap up on September 15th.

With The Quad and Women’s Championship Classes already decided and completed, the battle which is drawing the most attention both on and off the track is the battle royal between Louis Calvin, Stevie Heilers and Kyle Webster in the Pro Open/MX1 class.
Whilst Josh Adams leads the charge in the Pro Lite/MX2 class with Kyle Webster and Robbo Lovett fighting for a championship win.

Pro Open/MX1
The competition is fierce and the pace will be electrifying. 75 championship points is all that is left in this round and 70 points split first and second position in the standings. The leader board has 1st Louis Calvin on 332pts, 2nd Stevie Heilers with 262pts and 3rd Kyle Webster on 248pts. However, challenges may also come from Josh Adams in fourth position in the standings and Paul Humbertson in fifth position. Yet an outsider’s round win would certainly set the cat amongst the pigeons.

Pro Lite/MX2
In the Pro Lite/MX2 Championships, 1st is Josh Adams with 278pts, 2nd Kyle Webster on 270 and 3rd is Robbo Lovett on 239pts, Jayden Rykers in fourth with 213 pts and Reece Colgan fifth on 211 pts. With three motos remaining and 25 points up for the race win, you can be assured of more fantastic racing emerging from this class. All riders have been in absolutely sensational form this season.

Intermediate Opens/Lites
In the Intermediate Opens another fantastic year in this class with Luke Few leading the charge from Oliver James, Carson Bascombe, Jordan Doutch and Naon Mighall. With only 60 championship points splitting the top five, those winning points will be the most hotly sought at AJS.

Intermediate Lites have been dominated by Izaac Jones, his form on the hardpacked tracks has been outstanding, yet Jones will be on his game in the tricky sand with Jacob Smith in second in the championships and competitors Callum Alford, Jessica Moore and Blair Outram looking for big finishes to their seasons.

Clubman Open/Lites
Matt Rowlands has been on top in the Clubman Open taking three round wins for the year to date. Second in the standings is Scott Hewiit who has picked up two round wins. Third in the championship standings is Nathaniel Keen from Adam Smith and Danny Mayes. This round will be one for the sand specialists and with only 75 points remaining the championship is there for the taking.

Red hot form from the three title contenders in the Clubman Lites has Jade Williams leading the points on 269 from Keagan Williamson on 247 points and Kurt Baxter on 243 points. Three motos await the Lites to determine the champion for 2013.

Veterans
In the Pro and Intermediate Veterans Championships Scott Petricevich leads the charge on 301 pts from Paul Smithson 257 points and Dean Castlehow on 235 points. Petricevich is in outstanding form an on his home track will be very hard to beat.
