A change in scenery for the Seniors who had their Round 2 of The Make Smoking History State Senior Motocross Championship Series at Coastal Motorcycle Club in Henderson on Sunday the 4th of October. The track was prepped and ready to go and the weather was just as good which lead to an exciting day of racing ahead.


A smaller class for the NR Metal Recycling MX1 riders however that didn’t stop them from putting on a show for the spectators at the track. Regan Duffy led the way for the first moto with John Darroch in second and Charlie Creech in third. Only the top five for the first moto managed to get in an extra lap over those who pulled through with only eleven laps from the start. The second race of the sprint had Regan in first position again with this time Connor Tierney in second, while John Darroch claimed third over Charlie Creech in fourth. The last race had a few changes with Corben Weinert in the lead with Josh Adams in second and Stuey Wilmot in third with Regan Duffy relaxing in fourth.

The IEES and Golden Tyre MX2 class did not disappoint on the day. Riders pushed themselves hard with some even dual classing, making for an extra tough day of racing. Moto one had Regan Duffy in first position with Daniel Pajewski in second and Josh Adams in third. The second race on the day and the sprint for this class had reigning champion Regan Duffy out in the lead followed by Daniel then Josh with Conan Forrester in fourth and Seth Manuel in fifth. Some riders managed to push through and race nine laps with others probably feeling the day and only managing eight with the last race viewing Regan Duffy in first place with Daniel in second and Josh in third.

The Cully’s Yamaha Veterans class had over fifteen riders lined up the start gate ready to head full throttle into racing. Race one had Ben Shingler pull through into first position with Chris Errey in second and Trevor Unstead who claimed third over Aaron Chircop in fourth. The second moto and the sprint saw Chris this time pull ahead of the pack and finish in first place with Aaron in second and Ben following in third. The last race of the day had Chris in first with Ben in second and Aaron in third place for the day.

A good start for Brutum Logistics ATV class with nearly a full grid on the day. Chris Bosnakis had a very good start with eventually landing himself in first place with Luke Gaisford in second and Jae Dowsett in third. Flynn Burton and Joshua McQuade had a little battle for fifth and sixth with Joshua managing to push through and claim sixth behind Michael Murphy in fifth. The sprint for Round 2 had Luke this time ahead of Chris who fell into second and Jae in third. The last moto for the day for this class saw Chris claim first position with Luke in second and Jae in third.

Amateur Cup

A good day of racing for those in the Amateur Cup with over twenty riders in the class for Round 2. Jay White led the way in race one with Callum Bayliss in second and Callum Thomson in third. The second race had Callum Bayliss in first this time with Jay falling into second and Declan O’Leary claiming third over Daniel Wright. The last moto for the day had a surprise first place rider with this time Fletcher Stubbs claiming the lead with Jay in second and Callum Bayliss in third.
