Fast and furious Quad racing action comes to WA’s South West when the Healthways Smarter Than Smoking WAMX Quad State Championship is contested at Shrubland Park, Bunbury on Sunday May 5th.
This event will be the second round of the six round Clubman and Pro/Intermediate Quad Championship. The event is expected to bring competitors from right across the state to compete in the event with Junior Quads, Veterans and Womens Championship.
Last year the Veterans class was dominated by the now retired Barry Noy, Dave Harris picked up second place with Matt McKay, Paul Zuchetti, Darryl Maringoni and Jeff Hogan. The Clubman Quads class was won by Tyron Robertson from Luke Ovens and Simone Gaisford.
The Womens class was taken out by Simone Gaisford ahead of Sarah Moore and Teniel Morgan. This year after one round , the Clubman Quads are being led into the Bunbury Quad round with Anton Versaci leading Jonathan Mosby, Jeff Hogan, and Daniel Soltoggio. Anthony Pearce leads the Quad Championship ahead of Luke Gaisford and Chris Bosnakis. Last year’s Junior Qaud Championships had the 90cc-110 7- U13 Junior Limited won by Caelan Campione from, Thomas Smith and Elizabeth Watson. The 90cc – 125cc 9-U13 was picked up by Jack Wilcox, with James Ognenis second and Adam Filbey in third place. The 200cc-300cc 12 – U16 was dominated by Chris Bosnakis with Aston Oliver in second and PJ Clinton in third place.
