Sunday September 21, mark that on your calendar’s as the WAMX Smarter Than Smoking State Championship will head to the Perth hills at Nobles Falls, Gidgegannup, where all the Championship classes will be decided as the 2014 series reaches its final and exciting conclusion in the final round of the year.

Noble Falls, is an undulating hard-packed surface, and is one of the most picturesque tracks – also one of the most unforgiving to riders, with a surface that is skatey and dusty when dry, slippery and muddy when wet. Pray the weather gods are on the rider’s side!

Kyle Webster carries the red plate as series leader in the Pro Open/MX 1 whilst the Pro Lites/MX 2 has Jayden Rykers as the series leader. Courtney Hirst leads the Women’s Class with Chris Bosnakis the leader heading into the final Quad round.

Pro Open/MX1

Mandurah City KTM’s Louis Calvin has been in red hot form leading the MX1 standings for most of the series, that was until Kyle Webster took the lead and now holds a 63 point lead over defending champions Louis Calvin. Outstanding form holds Stevie Heilers in good stead, sitting in third place in the championships only 68 points behind series leader Webster; this round will feature on Heilers’ home track at Noble Falls. Reece Colgan and Mitch Taylor round out the top five in the Pro Open Championships with one round left.

Pro Lite/MX 2

The tightest points chase continues in the Pro Lites championship battle in a three rider challenge for maximum points. Series leader Jayden Rykers has only a 28 point advantage over defending champion Josh Adams, whilst Kyle Webster is only 34 points off the championship lead.
Robbo Lovett and Dylan Heard sit inside the top five, and both will be looking also for a podium finish to finish off their stellar seasons.

Quad Championship

One round remains, three motos and 75 points up for grabs, and it is all but a formality for WAMX Quad Championship series leader Chris Bosnakis.

Bosnakis holds a 65 point buffer over second placed Shaun Woodhead with Luke Ovens in third in the championships.

Womens Championships

The Women’s championship alive and well with Court Hirst now holding a 24 point lead in the championship from Shelley Connor second, and Jess Moore holding third in the championship. Kaleb Richdale secured the Clubman Lites championships at Bunbury as part of the 2 Stroke Cup Championships. Leading for much of the season, Scott Jackman finished second with Adman Fanderlinden home in third place for the Clubman Lites for 2014.
